Mazey's Dream Low-Fee Program
AATPC's mission is to provide our services to all who need them regardless of income or insurance statuses. Our Co-Founder's cat Mazey offered the inspiration for Mazey's dream and we are proud to be able to provide our services at a very low fee for members of our community who demonstrate financial need. We charge a small, income-based fee to all recipients of Mazey's Dream as we believe this ensures the level of motivation and commitment needed for successful treatment. Our fee ranges depend on income and other factors.

There are several requirements as part of this program. Before applying we request that you read the following important information:

-
Your counseling may be provided by a Master’s level unlicensed intern under the supervision of a highly experienced licensed counselor or therapist. As part of their training experience, your counselor is required to audio and/or videotape your sessions, which may then be viewed as part of their and other counselors’ learning experience. Your information, including content of sessions, will therefore be shared with the intern’s supervisor and possibly other counseling students. We take your confidentiality very seriously; all efforts to maintain your privacy will be taken.
-
In most cases, it is recommended that counseling continue on a regular weekly basis. Exceptions may be discussed with your counselor.
-
Payment is expected at the beginning of each session. Counselors cannot carry a balance owed or take post-dated checks.
-
AATPC can accept payment by credit card. Otherwise we accept cash or check. Checks should be payable to: AATPC.
-
We charge $25 for all returned checks, and all counseling sessions will cease until payment is collected in full.
-
This program does not offer a discount for pre-payment of multiple sessions.
-
There is often a waiting list for these services, and we ask that you be respectful of your counselor’s time by attending all scheduled appointments. After two no shows or three late cancellations (less than 24-hour notice), we will presume that you are no longer interested in receiving these services and terminate your case. We can provide you with a list of referrals if necessary.
-
You are paying for your counselor’s time and expertise. You must give 24-hours notice when cancelling your appointment or you will be automatically charged for the session.
-
AATPC requires a current credit card or debit card number on file and will be automatically billed $75 for all appointments that you do not show or cancel with at least 24 hours notice.
